Visit Historic Apalachicola Florida

Apalachicola is a small town located at the mouth of the Apalachicola River. The town's Historic District is in a transition, with people preserving the history by restoring the old homes and commercial buildings.

Although residents agree the traditional economic backbone of the area is the seafood industry of Apalachicola Bay, the focus of economic activity is shifting to eco-heritage tourism and the resort-type businesses.

It's easy to spend an afternoon walking the streets of the Apalachicola Historic District, taking in all of the local sights, sounds and charming personality.
