Cape St. George FL Lighthouse

After weathering almost 150 storm-tossed years, our island's beacon to the Gulf felt Hurricane Opal's fury in 1995. Now, after the 2005 storm season, the lighthouse has finally sucummed to its waters.

Now the pieces have been moved and are being re-assembled on St. George Island. It is clearly visible as you drive onto the island.
