Visit Historic Apalachicola Florida
Apalachicola is a small town located at the mouth of the Apalachicola
River. The town's Historic District is in a transition, with
people preserving the history by restoring the old homes and
commercial buildings.
Although residents agree the traditional economic backbone
of the area is the seafood industry of Apalachicola Bay, the
focus of economic activity is shifting to eco-heritage tourism
and the resort-type businesses.
Currently, there are over a dozen homes for sale in the
Historic District ranging in price from $80,000 to $400,000.
