St. George Plantation Neighborhood

A gated community stretching from Gulf to Bay on the island's west end, St. George Plantation was planned with respect for the fragile natural environment of this barrier island. Winding roads are still wooded, and walkways are elevated over the dunes to take you to a beautiful five-mile private beach. The Plantation is also an official bird sanctuary. Strict building restrictions, underground utilities, and 24-hour security have made this community beautiful, secluded and safe. Homes are distinctive in architecture, amenities, and decor. The residents' club pool and tennis courts may be used by rental guests, but availability is not guaranteed and hours may be restricted. Because the Plantation is a private community, guests must complete a rental agreement in advance and list all occupants, as well as expected visitors, for the gate attendant. Spacious easements make the Gulf beach easily accessible to all residents.
